The rapid and turbulent development of public health issues in Indonesia requires highly competent human resources to address them effectively. In response to these challenges, the public health profession has long been considered for development and education by public health institutions and professional organizations. The Indonesian Collegium of Public Health (MKKMI) under the Indonesian Public Health Association (IAKMI) serves as an autonomous body dedicated to maintaining and advancing public health education standards and quality.
MKKMI IAKMI, in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Public Health Education Institutions (AIPTKMI), has been planning the establishment of the public health profession at Level 7 of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI). One of the collegiums formed within MKKMI is the Collegium of Health Policy and Administration (AKK).
In line with this initiative, the AKK Collegium of MKKMI IAKMI, in cooperation with the Master of Public Health Program and the Department of Health Policy and Administration (AKK) at the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University (FKM UNDIP), is organizing a workshop to discuss the curriculum for AKK and the public health profession. This workshop aims to serve as an initial step toward building a common understanding and agreement among various public health education institutions, particularly in the AKK departments, to support the establishment of the public health profession in health policy and administration.
