The Master of Public Health Program, Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University, successfully conducted a Visiting Lecturer session on the topic “Healthy Lifestyle on Food Choices.” The event was held in a hybrid format, with 40 participants attending in person at Classroom 202, 2nd Floor, Building D, Faculty of Public Health, UNDIP, and 50 participants joining online. The attendees included undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, as well as several faculty members and external participants from outside Diponegoro University.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Preetha Thomas, PhD, MSc, from the School of Public Health, The University of Queensland.

The event began with an opening speech by Dr. Budiyono, S.KM., M.Kes., Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University. He warmly welcomed Dr. Preetha Thomas and expressed his gratitude for her willingness to participate as a speaker. He also hoped that the knowledge shared would be valuable for all attendees.

The session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Martha Irene Kartasurya, MSc, PhD. In her lecture, Dr. Preetha Thomas discussed topics including nutrition and health, the ecological framework, and the drivers of change in the food system.

At the end of the session, Dr. Dra. Ayun Sriatmi, M.Kes., Head of the Master of Public Health Program, delivered the closing remarks, expressing her appreciation to the speaker. She emphasized that the insights shared were highly beneficial not only for Master of Public Health students but also for faculty members and other participants.
