Vision and Mission of Master of Public Health Programme
1.Vision: To become a Master Education Institution in the field of Public Health that excels at the international level in 2024.
2. Mission:
a.Organising quality public health master’s education to produce graduates who are professional, competitive, and have character at the national and international levels;
b.Organising research in the field of public health to increase publications and ownership of intellectual property rights;
c.Organising community service to solve public health problems;
d.Organising the management of public health higher education institutions based on the principles of good governance, professionalism and accountability;
e.Conducting cooperation and partnerships to improve education, research and service in the field of public health. both at the national and international levels.
3. Education Programme Objectives: make students/learners:
1).Mastering theoretical concepts and advanced studies in the fields of management,
administration, social and behavioural sciences for the deepening of Public Health Sciences,
2).Mastering theoretical concepts and in-depth analysis for the fields of knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health / occupational health specifically to be able to formulate procedural health problem solving.
3).Able to develop knowledge of Public Health Science and utilise epidemiological studies, biostatistics as methods and tools to examine environmental factors, workplaces, socio-cultural factors and behaviour towards health through research, to produce innovative and tested work.
4).Able to solve health problems using Public Health Science through an inter and multi-disciplinary approach to be able to plan, implement and evaluate primary, secondary and tertiary health service programmes.
5).Able to manage research and development that benefits society and science to gain national and international recognition.
6).Able to communicate work results and be responsible for their own work to be given responsibility for the achievement of work results in secondary and tertiary health care organisations.
7).Have mastery of public health science skills
8).Proficient in financial planning and skilled in management
(Financial Planning and Management Skills)
9).Leadership and system thinking skills.
