The Rector of Diponegoro University (Undip), Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum., officially inaugurated a new lineup of officials within Undip during the Inauguration Ceremony on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 08:00 AM WIB. The event took place in the Hall of the SA-MWA Building, Undip Tembalang Campus. The ceremony was attended by the Chair of the Academic Senate, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Vice Rectors, Deans of Faculties/Schools, invited guests, and the newly appointed officials of Undip.
The inauguration was based on the Rector’s Decree No. 7/UN7.A/KP/XII/2022 to No. 14/UN7.A/KP/XII/2022 concerning the Appointment of Institution Heads, Department Heads, Study Program Heads, Study Program Secretaries, and Division Heads at Diponegoro University.
A total of eleven (11) newly appointed Undip officials have been assigned to various positions, including:
- Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM)
- Head of the Department of Medicine (Faculty of Medicine)
- Head of the Master’s Program in Biomedical Sciences (Faculty of Medicine)
- Head of the Doctoral Program in Animal Science (Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences)
- Secretary of the Doctoral Program in Information Systems (Graduate School)
Additionally, the newly appointed positions include:
- Head of the Master’s Program in Public Health (Faculty of Public Health)
- Secretary of the Master’s Program in Public Health (Faculty of Public Health)
- Head of the Biostatistics and Demography Division (Faculty of Public Health)
- Head of the Administration and Health Policy Division (Faculty of Public Health)
- Head of the Bachelor’s Program in Library Science (Faculty of Humanities)
- Secretary of the Bachelor’s Program in Library Science (Faculty of Humanities)
The oath-taking ceremony was led by the Rector of Undip, accompanied by religious leaders according to each official’s faith. This was followed by the signing of the Oath of Office Document by the Rector, along with Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Heru Susanto, S.T., M.M., M.T., and Prof. Ir. Edy Rianto, M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., as witnesses.
In his opening remarks, Rector Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama congratulated the newly appointed officials. “I extend my congratulations to all officials who have been appointed to their respective positions. My gratitude also goes to the previous officials who have carried out their duties and upheld the great name of Diponegoro University,” he stated.
Prof. Yos emphasized the importance of maintaining the good reputation of Undip. “Undip belongs to all of us. Whether Undip becomes great and prosperous depends on us. We must uphold its good name so that the public continues to trust us—to trust that Undip can educate students to become intelligent, competent, and well-mannered individuals with strong character. This is where your role becomes crucial,” he explained.
He also reminded officials to uphold the spirit of tolerance that has been well maintained at Undip. “Everything must be proportional, without discrimination, and must uphold tolerance,” he said.
Furthermore, Prof. Yos urged the newly inaugurated officials to continuously improve their performance, as Undip will regularly evaluate its officials. “Enhance your work performance and discipline in budget management—do not just spend the budget, but use it wisely. Be a good role model, work earnestly, maintain integrity, and comply with regulations. We will conduct evaluations, and if an official’s performance does not meet expectations, they should resign or will be removed,” he concluded.
