Students of the Master of Public Health Program, Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University (MKM FKM UNDIP), Pekalongan City Health Office Collaboration Class, conducted a screening and health education session on Tuberculosis, Dengue Fever (DBD), and Mental Health at Tahfizhul Qur’an Assalam Boarding School, Pekalongan. The event took place in the school’s auditorium and was attended by 50 students, supported by 15 graduate students from MKM FKM UNDIP.
Opik Taufik, the event committee chair, expressed his gratitude to his fellow students, the Faculty of Public Health at Diponegoro University, the Pekalongan City Health Office, and the students of Tahfizhul Qur’an Assalam Boarding School for their participation.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Dra. Ayun Sriatmi, M.Kes., Head of the Master of Public Health Program at FKM UNDIP, emphasized the importance of this community service initiative. She hoped that the event would enhance public awareness and knowledge about Tuberculosis, Dengue Fever, and Mental Health among adolescents.
Dr. Slamet Budiyanto, M.Kes., Head of the Pekalongan City Health Office, also expressed his appreciation for the screening and health education activities conducted in the Pekalongan City Health Office’s working area, particularly at Tahfizhul Qur’an Assalam Boarding School.
Additionally, Ustad Nonon, representing Tahfizhul Qur’an Assalam Boarding School, extended his gratitude to the MKM FKM UNDIP students for their dedication and concern for adolescent health. He highlighted that this activity was highly beneficial for students in boarding school environments, as it provided them with screening and educational sessions on Tuberculosis, Dengue Fever, and Mental Health.
