The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia has issued Regulation No. 53 of 2023 concerning Higher Education Quality Assurance. This regulation outlines the quality assurance system in higher education through the establishment, implementation, evaluation, control, and enhancement of Higher Education Standards.

As a leading institution in public health education, the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University (FKM UNDIP), needs to adopt and adjust its curriculum in accordance with Regulation No. 53 of 2023. The regulation introduces changes in credit requirements, the number of semesters, and other provisions compared to previous policies. Additionally, the development of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) methods requires FKM UNDIP to adapt its learning plans for each course. Furthermore, the challenges of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 highlight the importance of involving users, stakeholders, and alumni to prepare competent and competitive graduates from FKM UNDIP.

In response to these challenges, FKM UNDIP organized a curriculum workshop for its Undergraduate (Bachelor), Master’s, and Doctoral Programs. The workshop aimed to develop an updated curriculum aligned with the latest educational policies for all study programs within the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University.

This hybrid event featured distinguished speakers, including Prof. Dr. Ir. Setia Budi Sasongko, D.E.A., Head of LP2MP, Diponegoro University, and Prof. Dr. dr. Sabarinah Prasetyo, M.Sc., Chairperson I of the Indonesian Association of Public Health Higher Education Institutions (AIPTKMI).

In addition to the expert speakers, the workshop also invited stakeholders from the Ministry of Health, provincial and district/city health departments, industries, educational institutions, professional associations, hospitals, community health centers (Puskesmas), and other health-related organizations. Their participation provided valuable insights and recommendations to enhance the public health curriculum and ensure that graduates meet the demands of the workforce.
