To support community empowerment-based monitoring of complete basic immunization, a team of lecturers from the Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University (FKM UNDIP)—Dr. Dra. Ayun Sriatmi, MKes; Dr. Ir. Martini, MKes; Dr. dr. Sutopo Patriajati, MM, MKes, and colleagues—collaborated with UNICEF to develop the KampungKu-RumahKu (KK-RK) model. This model serves as a tracking and monitoring tool for children’s immunization status in a specific area.
The KK-RK model is an adaptation and development of the My Village-My Home (MVMH) concept, an instrument for community empowerment in health introduced by USAID through the Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program (MCHIP). This tool provides a visual representation of health status at the community level.
KK-RK is designed as a community-level tool that offers a visual overview of the immunization status of all infants and children in a village or designated area. The model takes the form of a data wall banner, where information is recorded according to the available columns. To assist healthcare workers and community volunteers in filling out the data correctly, a guideline book has also been developed.
